In total three articles were recently published in the International Journal of Hygiene and Environmental Health. The results from the German Environmental Survey on OH-PAHs (Murawski et al) as well as the investigation of time trends with respect to the exposure to the fragrance chemical 7-hydroxycitronellal (Pluym et al) were published in collaboration with the German Environmental Agency (UBA).
Finally, we were able to elaborate the human metabolism of Uvinul A plus, a widely used UV-blocker in sunscreens, and to derive first data on the daily systemic exposure to this chemical (Stoeckelhuber et al), a research project funded as part of a 10-year human biomonitoring initiative between the Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the Verband der chemischen Industrie e.V. (German Chemical Industry Association (VCI)).
